Bordspellenmiddag | Board game afternoon 🎲
Elke woensdagavond en zondagmiddag spelen we bordspelletjes!
Wat gaan we doen?
We hebben een uitgebreide collectie bordspellen die niet alleen erg leuk zijn, maar ook speciaal zijn uitgekozen om de conversatie te stimuleren!Er is een spel voor elk niveau Nederlands, van ‘Memory’ voor beginners tot ‘Cards Against Humanity in Dutch’ voor gevorderden. Voor degenen die meer van tactische spelletjes houden, hebben we ook spellen als ‘Catan’, ‘Ticket to Ride’, ‘Exploding Kittens’, ‘Azul’ en ga zo maar door! Er is voor iedereen wat.
Zelfs als je geen ‘board game geek’ bent, zijn er ook leuke, simpele spellen om te spelen!
Planning
- 13:00 – 13:30 Start activiteit, even praten en iets drinken
- 13:30 – 15:00 Opsplitsen in kleine groepjes (we proberen in elk groepje een native te zetten) en bordspelletjes spelen terwijl we Nederlands praten
- 15:00 – 17:00 Als je wil kan je blijven voor ping pong, doorgaan met spelen, of gewoon praten
- DLC sluit om 17:00
Wat neem je mee?
Je hoeft in principe niks mee te nemen :) Er zijn drankjes te kopen aan de bar. Als je zelf een leuk bordspel hebt om te spelen, kan je het meenemen!
Nederlands niveau
Tijdens de events spreken we zoveel mogelijk Nederlands. We praten langzaam, het is ok als je fouten maakt, en helpen je graag, maar we proberen wel grotendeels Nederlands te praten. De events zijn daarom goed voor mensen die al een basisniveau hebben en meer willen oefenen. Ben je een beginner of vind je het idee van een groepsactiviteit in Nederlands nog intimiderend? Native Speakers
Is Nederlands je moedertaal? Dan ben je natuurlijk ook van harte welkom! Voor Nederlanders is het ook een erg leuke middag. Je ontmoet nieuwe mensen, speelt leuke spellen, en het is gewoon erg gezellig! Daarnaast ben je ook nog eens goed bezig omdat je anderen kan helpen met de taal!

We hebben een PDF met de meest nuttige vocabulaire voor de bordspellen. Je kan dit gebruiken als je het fijn vindt je voor te bereiden, maar dit is zeker niet verplicht. Je vindt het hier (alleen voor members)
Every Wednesday evening and Sunday afternoon, we play board games!
What will we do?
We have a wide collection of board games that are not only great fun but also specially selected to stimulate conversation! There is a game for every Dutch level, from ‘Memory’ for beginners to ‘Cards Against Humanity in Dutch’ for advanced speakers. For those who enjoy more strategic games, we also have ‘Catan,’ ‘Ticket to Ride,’ ‘Exploding Kittens,’ ‘Azul,’ and many more! There’s something for everyone.
Even if you’re not a ‘board game geek,’ there are plenty of fun and simple games to play!
Schedule
- 13:00 – 13:30 Start of the activity, casual chatting, and a drink
- 13:30 – 15:00 Split into small groups (we try to include a native speaker in each group) and play board games while speaking Dutch
- 15:00 – 17:00 If you’d like, you can stay for ping pong, continue playing, or just chat
- DLC closes at 17:00
What to bring?
You don’t need to bring anything :) Drinks are available for purchase at the bar. If you have a fun board game you’d like to play, feel free to bring it!
Dutch level
During the events, we speak as much Dutch as possible. We speak slowly, it’s okay to make mistakes, and we’re happy to help, but we do try to keep most of the conversation in Dutch. These events are ideal for those who already have a basic level and want to practice more. Are you a beginner, or does the idea of a group activity in Dutch still feel intimidating? Then check out our courses!
Native Speakers
Is Dutch your native language? Then you’re of course very welcome too! It’s a great afternoon for Dutch speakers as well. You’ll meet new people, play fun games, and enjoy a relaxed atmosphere! Plus, you’ll be doing something great by helping others improve their language skills.
