General Terms and Conditions
Below agreements are made between Dutch Language Café (the organization Dutch Language Café, seated at Herengracht 13A, 2511EG, Den Haag, KVK: 90116550) and Partcipant (anyone purchasing any product, using any service, or attending any activity organized or facilitated by Dutch Language Café). These terms and conditions apply to any agreements made between Dutch Language Café and Participant.
Privacy policy
Participant agrees with the privacy policy of Dutch Language Café (read it here).
Membership
This section applies to the community membership
Payment
Membership is renewed automatically every month and membership fees are deducted automatically every month from the Participant bank account that he or she used when signing up through direct debit (‘automatisch incasso’). Deduction will automatically continue indefinitely until either Participant or Dutch Language Café cancels the agreement according to the cancellation policy defined in this page.
Community activities
Dutch Language Café reserves the right to limit the amount of people able to attend any community activity. This means that activities sometimes can be full. The membership does not guarantee being able to attend all community activities organized by or facilitated by Dutch Language Café.
Most of the community activities included in the membership are organized by members themselves. Due to this nature, the type, amount and quality of activities can vary. Participating in activities by Participant is always at own risk of Participant. Dutch Language Café, or anyone organizing activities in name of Dutch Language Café, is not liable for any damages, injuries, loss of valuables, or other costs caused during those activities.
Any entry fee paid for any activity by Participant to Dutch Language Cafe upon signing up for the activity is in principle non-refundable, unless otherwise explicitly described in the event description. Of course, Participant can always send an e-mail to info@dutchlanguagecafe.com with an request for a refund and Dutch Language Cafe will consider on a case-by-case basis if a refund is possible.
Courses
In principle, missed sessions are non refundable, and it is not possible to switch time slots, for example from Tuesday to Saturday. However, we are always willing to look at a case by case basis. If you miss a session, e-mail us at info@dutchlanguagecafe.com. We don’t recommend to retake a lesson in a later group, as that usually that will be one or two months later and will not have much of an effect. Instead, you can do an extra community event for free if you miss a session, which is our recommended approach. If you really want to retake a session in a later group, we can’t guarantee this is possible, but we can look if a later group still has a space. In case there is space, you can retake the session for a 7.50 admin fee.
Achieved outcomes of programs/sessions/products organised by Dutch Language Café are highly dependent on the individual differences between Participants in learning style, motivation and time investment. Dutch Language Café will do it’s best to meet expectations of Participant, however, no guarantee is made that Participant will achieve results indicated in the beginners program description. It is the responsibility of Participant to indicate as early as possible to Dutch Language Cafe if he/she is not satisfied with the received services.
Participating in sessions by Participant is always at own risk of Participant. Dutch Language Café, or anyone organizing activities in name of Dutch Language Café, is not liable for any damages, injuries, loss of valuables, or other costs caused during the sessions.
Refunds
The membership and course fees are non-refundable. Not being able to make use of the membership or not being able to attend any activities or sessions does not give Participant the rights for a refund. Similarly, Participant also has no right for refunds should the membership not meet expectations of Participant.
Cancellation
Participant can cancel his or her membership either filling in the cancellation form at https://dutchlanguagecafe.com/manage-membership/. In case of problems with the form, contact us by e-mail at info@dutchlanguagecafe.com. Membership cancellations can take up to 7 days to process.
Changes
Dutch Language Café reserves the right to make changes to the price and service of the membership. Any changes in price will be communicated at least one month in advance, so that Participant will be given opportunity to cancel their membership.
Liability
Dutch Language Café does not claim that any of its services are fit for any intended purpose, including but not limited to passing a test or passing certain job requirements. Dutch Language Café is not liable for any indirect damage caused by its services.
Own risk
Participant participates in activities by Dutch Language Café at his or her own risk. Dutch Language Café is not liable for any injuries, damages, theft, or loss of valuables during any activities organized or facilitated by Dutch Language Café.
Image use
Dutch Language Café has the right to take pictures of Participant during any activity organized by or facilitated by Dutch Language Café. Dutch Language Café can use these pictures for promotional use (for example: social media). If Participant does not want their picture to be taken or used, they should communicate that explicitly to Dutch Language Café through e-mail (dutchlanguagecafe@gmail.com) before participating in any activity organized by or facilitated by Dutch Language Café.
Intellectual property ownership
Dutch Language Café owns all intellectual property created by Dutch Language Cafe, including anything posted on its website, any hand-outs, or digital works shown or provided to Participant. Participant is not allowed to copy, distribute or share these materials in any way without prior written consent of Dutch Language Café
Appropiate behavior
Dutch Language Café has the right to cancel any agreements made with Participant and ban Participant from any activity organized by or facilitated by Dutch Language Café, should Participant display unacceptable behavior, including but not limited to discrimination, sexual misconduct, agression, racism or other forms of inappropiate behavior. In this case Participant has no rights of refunds of any kind.
General
Prices mentioned on the site are in euro, if not explicitly noted otherwise. In case of typographical mistakes, Dutch Language Café reserves the right to cancel or revert any agreement.
