We gaan praten over ‘Palestina in Doodsnood’, geschreven door Dries van Agt.
Wat gaan we doen?
We gaan onze meningen delen over het boek en vragen over de thema’s beantwoorden. Daarna kiezen we het volgende boek, de datum en de host (we lezen meestal elke 2 maanden een boek, afhankelijk van de lengte).

- 16:00 â inloop bij DLC, drankje pakken, kletsen
- 16:15 â discussie over het boek
- 17:45 â volgend boek, host en datum kiezen
- 18:00 â einde activiteit
Wat meenemen?
Als je wilt, kun je jouw exemplaar van het boek en eventuele aantekeningen meenemen, maar het is niet verplicht. Ideeën voor het volgende boek zijn altijd welkom.
Het boek: Palestina in Doodsnood
We lezen dit keer Palestina in Doodsnood van Dries van Agt. Het heeft maar 64 pagina’s. Dit boek geeft een persoonlijke kijk op de situatie in Palestina door de ogen van de voormalige Nederlandse minister-president.
Dit is een aangrijpend boek over mensenrechten, gerechtigheid en de zoektocht naar vrede. Het gaat over de complexe politieke situatie in het Midden-Oosten vanuit een Nederlandse perspectief.
Leuk als je het hele boek hebt gelezen, maar dat is niet verplicht! Als je je wilt voorbereiden, kun je over deze vragen nadenken:
- Wat vond je van het boek?
- Zou je het boek aanraden?
- Heb je nog vragen over het boek (moeilijke zinnen, onduidelijke woorden enzovoort)?
- Welke emoties heb je ervaren tijdens het lezen?
- Wat is je favoriete inzicht uit het boek?
- Welke zin of passage vond je het sterkst?

We voeren het gesprek in het Nederlands â maak je geen zorgen als jouw Nederlands nog niet perfect is; we spreken langzaam en helpen elkaar! Boeken lezen in het Nederlands klinkt misschien moeilijk, maar we kiezen altijd toegankelijke titels, en je zult versteld staan hoeveel je begrijpt en leert đ

We will share our opinions on the book and answer questions about its themes. Afterwards, we’ll choose the next book, the date, and the host (we usually read a book every two months, depending on its length).

What to bring?
If you’d like, you can bring your copy of the book and any notes you have, but it’s not required. Ideas for the next book are always welcome.
The Book: Palestina in Doodsnood
We’re reading Palestina in Doodsnood by Dries van Agt this time. It’s only 65 pages long. This book offers a personal perspective on the situation in Palestine through the eyes of the former Dutch prime minister.
This is a gripping book about human rights, justice and the search for peace. It deals with the complex political situation in the Middle East from a Dutch perspective.
It’s great if you’ve read the entire book, but it’s not mandatory! If you want to prepare, consider these questions:
- What did you think of the book?
- Would you recommend it?
- Do you have any questions about the book (difficult sentences, unclear words, etc.)?
- What emotions did you experience while reading?
- What was your favourite insight from the book?
- Which sentence or passage struck you the most?
