Bij DLC draait het om verbinding, en dat begint met elkaar echt leren kennen. Elke donderdag om 18:00 (voordat het cafe opengaat voor de avondevents) is er een speciale sociale bijeenkomst voor leden, begeleid door iemand van ons team (Eloise of Roben)!
Wat gaan we doen?
Deze korte maar gezellige bijeenkomst is een fijne manier om je verbonden te voelen met andere leden, of je nu nieuw bent of al langer komt. We organiseren samen activiteiten, bijvoorbeeld feestjes, picknick of musea-uitjes. Eloise of Roben is er om te helpen, en je hebt ook de kans om vragen over DLC te stellen aan ons.
Vanaf 18:30 opent het café officieel en kun je blijven hangen om te eten, drinken of gewoon lekker door te kletsen of verder te spelen! Vanaf 19:30 zijn er events zoals de language exchange, als je nog langer wil blijven hangen!
Er is gratis limonade en snacks, en alle leden zijn welkom – ongeacht je Nederlands niveau!
Planning
- 18:00 – Start activiteit (bijvoorbeeld samen een uitje organiseren, met hulp van Eloise of Roben)
- 18:30 – Café opent: bestel eten/drinken als je wilt, blijf kletsen of spelen
De activiteit kan afwisselen (bijvoorbeeld wandelen als het lekker weer is, pingpong spelen als we er zin in hebben…) maar meestal organiseren we samen een uitje of een event. Wat betere manier om connecties te maken en Nederlands oefenen dan samen iets organiseren!
Voor wie?
Alleen voor leden. Ideaal om snel nieuwe mensen te leren kennen bij DLC.
At DLC, it’s all about connection – and that starts with truly getting to know each other. Every Thursday at 18:00 (before the café opens for evening events), there’s a special social gathering for members, hosted by someone from our team (Eloise or Roben)!
What will we do?
This short but cosy meetup is a great way to feel more connected to other members, whether you’re new or have been coming for a while. Together, we’ll organise activities like parties, picnics, or museum visits. Eloise or Roben will be there to help, and you’ll also have the chance to ask us any questions about DLC.
At 18:30 the café officially opens, so you’re welcome to stick around for food, drinks, or just to keep chatting or playing! From 19:30, evening events like the language exchange will start – perfect if you want to stay longer!
There will be free lemonade and snacks, and all members are welcome – no matter your Dutch level!
Schedule
- 18:00 – Start of the activity (e.g. organising an outing together, with support from Eloise or Roben)
- 18:30 – Café opens: order food or drinks if you like, continue chatting or playing
The activity can vary (for example, going for a walk if the weather is nice, or playing ping pong if we feel like it…) but usually we’ll be planning an outing or event together. What better way to make connections and practise your Dutch than by organising something together?
